With a background in international relations and digital journalism, Tamara’s interests and expertise include the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, intercultural communications, human rights law, refugee issues, gender equity, and freedom of speech and expression. Her hobbies include creative and non-fiction writing, sketching, drinking coffee while people watching, and riding her bicycle.
Born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, Tamara moved to Syracuse, NY, to pursue a B.A. degree in international relations and online journalism, with a focus on the MENA region and intercultural communications. She currently lives in Washington, D.C. and works as a Program Coordinator with the International Women’s Media Foundation.
